About the project

I’ve worked with Ben and Tracey for almost twenty years on many projects including a whole suite of Everything But The Girl reissues and a best off. So to get the call that they’d been working on a new studio album together as EBTG was somewhat exciting. We only worked through a couple of routes before hitting on the aesthetic they wanted, big, bold, clean, to-the-point... iconic. The simple idea of FUSE(ing) the title to the name was drawn from the mix of Ben and Tracey as artists, the fusing of their ideas, musical styles and genres and of time and place.

What they say

I’ve worked with John for over 20 years, beginning with club flyers before moving into venue branding and album artwork. His creative imagination is always both timeless and totally contemporary. I look back and still love everything he’s done for us. He is generous during the development stage, offering alternatives until the brief fits, and then meticulous with the detail. He is also a lovely chap and a pleasure to chat to on the phone, especially on the travails of his beloved Spurs. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
