Ben Watt - Storm Damage

It is always a pleasure to get a call from long-time collaborator and friend Ben Watt telling us he is close to completing a new record. All designers long for those relationships that allow a freedom of creativity and this is certainly one of those.

We chat about the themes, thoughts and ideas behind the motivation for the record and leave it there. Two months later with some back and forth the record is ready and the artwork is complete. The artwork is born of literal references and stream of consciousness and has kept evolving from the initial album concept through each single. Each peice is a dream-like scattergun series of overlapping imagery that tells its own story.

Storm Damage is released on Unmade Road through Caroline International on January 31 2020.
